In the Direct Primary Care (DPC) model, the member pays a monthly fee to the physician. This fee includes unlimited direct access via visits, texts and telemedicine. Your insurance is never billed by your physician. Labs are not included, but are available at cheap, wholesale prices.
The average physician in the traditional insurance based model cares for 3000-4000 patients. In contrast, a doctor in a DPC micropractice has 200 patients. A small patient panel means your physician has more time to spend with you, is not rushed, and can deliver more personalized, cost-effective care. Our appointments run up to 60 minutes, and we can fit our patients into our schedules within 1-2 days.
We work directly for our patients, not insurance companies. At Zephyr Direct Primary Care we offer a full range of primary care services. We are transparent about costs and you will never be charged a co-pay, or an after-visit bill.
